Keely Book a walk-through

For RYA training centres in the UK

Saturday, 07:30. Everyone's paid, signed and on the pontoon.

Keely runs your school's website, bookings and student paperwork.

It chases the forms, takes the balances and sends joining instructions, so the office doesn't have to.

  • £150 a month + 1.5% of bookings paid online. Nothing on cash or bank transfer.
  • If Keely isn't right for you in the first 60 days, leave and pay nothing more. We'll hand you your data.

Course week

The office stops chasing

One five-day Day Skipper, from the booking to the logbook. Keely does every step on time. The office only steps in when something needs a person.

Four weeks before the course, Keely charges the balance to the card they saved when they booked. If the card can't be charged, they get a link to pay. Nobody asks for it.

Payments card: booking value £760.00, collected £190.00, outstanding £570.00; the deposit paid and the balance marked Charges automatically, with a saved Visa card.

Live chat and the inbox

A question asked at 21:47 is waiting at 09:00

Visitors ask on your website's live chat, from any page. Their question waits in the office inbox, beside that customer's bookings, so whoever answers has the whole story.

If nobody is free, they leave an email address and the reply reaches them there.

Ready when the inspector asks

Every liferaft, EPIRB, flare pack and instructor ticket has its next date and a reminder.

Put something out of date on a course and Keely warns you and asks for a reason, and keeps the answer on record. The Friday-afternoon folder check goes away.

Switching

Move in the quiet months. We do the moving.

Most schools move between the last course of one season and the first of the next. The plan counts from the day you say yes.

Questions

What principals ask us

Is it made for sailing schools, or general booking software with boat labels?

Made for sailing schools. It knows about course dates, shared yachts, berths, instructors, boats and forms for each student. We set it up to match the way your school works.

Can we still take bookings by phone and bank transfer?

Yes. Phone bookings go in the same diary as online ones. Cash and bank transfer carry no fee from us. If you send a link to pay by card, that counts as paid online.

Do my instructors have to use phones?

No. They can sign off after the course on any computer, including the one in the office, under their own login.

Does Keely issue RYA certificates?

No. Keely keeps your school's own records: logbooks and numbered completion records. RYA certificates still come from the RYA.

Data and privacy

Keely and Google

If a school chooses to, it can connect its own Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts to Keely. Keely then reads the school's Google Analytics sales report and Google Ads campaign figures to show, order by order, which adverts brought each sale. With separate permission, Keely can also tell Google Ads about sales it missed, sending only scrambled (hashed) email addresses and phone numbers, and only for customers who agreed to marketing cookies.

Each person at a school can also connect their own Google Calendar. Keely then reads only when they are busy, never what their meetings are about, so the school's booking pages don't offer those times, and adds the bookings made with them to their calendar.

A school can disconnect Google at any time from Analytics → Settings, and each person can disconnect their calendar from their own account. Our privacy notice sets out exactly what we read, store and send.
